Karen Joyce Carter (Joyce) went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2016.
Karen was born in Akron, Ohio on June 20, 1949. She was a lifelong member of Stone Deliverance Temple under the leadership of the late Pastor Mary L. Stone. Later in life she became a member of House of Prayer for All People under the leadership of Pastor Stacey Jenkins in Akron, Ohio. Joyce raised her five children to love God and taught her grandchildren about God. She made a promise to God that she would teach her children and grandchildren about God and she kept her promise.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Carter and mother, Lessie Irene Carter. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Ronnie Antani Cooper, and Randy Cooper; three daughters, Alicia (Mark) Garnett, Angela (Brian) Jackson, and Aundrea Cooper; brother, Larry Carter; sisters, Theresa Carter and Maxine Carter; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of countless loved ones.
Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Stone Deliverance Temple, 595 Copley Rd., Akron, OH 44320, Rev. David Crook eulogizing. Friends may visit at the church from 2:30 p.m. until time of service. Procession will form at 915 Peerless Ave., Akron, OH 44320 and condolences may be sent to 385 Afton Ave., Akron, Ohio 44313.
