Linda Fenderbosch Obituary

Linda M. (Wood) Fenderbosch

Linda M. (Wood) Fenderbosch, 75, a widow, of Las Cruces, New Mexico (formerly of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Akron, Ohio), died peacefully at home on the morning of June 3, 2016 of cancer, with her sister Nancy by her side.

She is survived by her only sibling, Nancy Koon (nee Tiffany) and brother-in-law, Rick of El Paso, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Kitty Fenderbosch of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Brian and Liane (Miller Brown) Fenderbosch of North Royalton, Ohio, Sara (Fenderbosch) and Wayne Jentas of Boston Heights, Ohio, Cheryl (Fenderbosch) Weaver of Brandon, Fla., and Eric and Erin Fenderbosch (Jr.) of Copley, Ohio and their families. Linda was predeceased by her late husband, Eric James Fenderbosch.

Linda was born in Akron, Ohio on July 15, 1940, the first of two daughters born to Doris Marie and Charles F. Tiffany, now both deceased.

Linda embraced life to the fullest and was able to travel often to Italy, Spain, Great Britain, and Europe, and reveled in every minute of it. She also loved to read or listen to music with her cat Dimitri at her side; and she was a huge football fan -- you could never reach her by phone if a game was on! She loved her family and her friends, and they returned the love two-fold; she had a wonderful life, with few regrets.

Special thanks to those wonderful friends in Las Cruces who so often gave of their time, care, meals, visits, gifts, cards, prayers and love to Linda: it meant the world to her and her family.

Per Linda's request, she has been cremated, and her ashes will be set free off Boothbay Harbor, Maine in open waters, just as she wished. She never shed a tear, and though we will miss her bright smile, her joy and sparkling wit, her kindness and her love, she knew where she was spending eternity and in the end welcomed Heaven with gladness. The family thanks all those wonderful people who prayed and cared and loved and helped us in innumerable ways.

We will never forget your kindness and we thank God for each one of you.

Memorials in her honor may be sent to the Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission, 1050 W. Amador, Las Cruces, NM 88005 or to the ASPCA.
