Malcolm Forrest Mann, 73, died peacefully Dec. 4, 2005, at his home in Chagrin Falls.

Mr. Mann was the chairman of the Geauga County Democratic Party and was very active in local and national politics, first in Akron and ultimately in Geauga County. Most recently, he owned and operated his own business, Malcolm Mann Inc., culminating 50 years in the rubber industry. Mr. Mann was a member of the Geauga County Board of Elections, and served on the board of Kent State University, Geauga County Campus, and the Ravenwood Mental Health Center.

He was an avid supporter of the Kent State University sports program, being involved whenever he could. Reading, the study of history and classic automobiles, particularly the Hudson, were his passion. He was a dedicated member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent, where he actively participated in several church functions.

Dear Donna and family of Mal,

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to you and all family members of Mal. I have known Mal since his sister Lavonne married my brother Ken many years ago. Mal was a fine member of our family at many family functions for over fifty years. We all have memories of Mal and know he is at peace now and forever. Mal was a fine gentleman.

May God bless you Donna and all members of Mal's family in this time of sorrow.

Sincerly,

Martha Jean Dunn
