John Bartlett Kempf, 88, passed away on December 19th 2025. He was born in Abington Pennsylvania on July 20th 1937 and spent most of his adult life enjoying the sunshine and active lifestyle of California. He started his career by studying Business Administration at Kent State University, earning a Bachelor's degree. In the early 1960's, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. For the majority of his professional career he worked in medical sales, traveling to hospitals and selling medical supplies, before becoming an independent business consultant for the remainder of his career. He was an avid sailor who loved racing Bear boats on the San Francisco Bay. John also enjoyed traveling, home improvement projects, and cheering on his favorite Bay Area sports teams. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Kempf Jr. and Margaret (Haas) Kempf; brother Joseph Kempf III; and beloved domestic partner, June Skow. He is survived by his three beautiful daughters, Allison Kempf (Braden Elmer), Margaret Kempf, and Cristina Kempf; his two cherished grandchildren, Arlon and Brynn Elmer; his nieces and nephews, who lovingly called him 'Uncle Barry', Elizabeth (Steven) Grabosky, Joseph (Karen) Kempf IV, Margaret Lange-Kempf, Susan Kempf; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Kempf. A celebration of life is planned for the summer of 2026.
