I only met Mary Ellen one time, but
I knew from the look on her face that she had fallen in love with Tim. I am glad that they both shared so many years of happiness together.
May she rest in peace.

I received my St. Vincent-St. Mary Alumni Connection magazine today and was saddened to see that Mary Ellen had passed away! We shared many laughs and stresses as high school students at St. Mary's in Akron. She was one of my favorite people! I wish all of her family peace and gentle memories...how could they be other knowing dear, sweet, gentle, Mary Ellen Cole.

Mary Ellen made my brother complete, she made our family whole. She always made sure people paid for their pumpkins and that they had a ticket for the wagon ride that Tim drove. She was the perfect Aunt for our kids. She loved our Apple wine. She made sure the important stuff got done, the things that made life beautiful where there, and laughed away the silly stuff. She brought us a bunch of rowdy, fun and full of life brothers and sisters. We also thank you for taking Yoga.

Dear Tim and Annie,
Our hearts go out to you at this time of sorrow. We were amazed to hear that Annie went to the vocal competition this past weekend. What a strong young woman! Courage and faith are what we need at this time. Mary Ellen modeled that quite well for all of us. She will be greatly missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Lisa, Michael and Brendan

Everyone who knew Mary Ellen will feel the emptiness of her passing. May the memory of her smile bring us comfort as I am sure she would have wanted it that way. My heart and prayers are with her beautiful and loving family - cousin Annie B.

TO THE BELOVED HUSBAND, PRECIOUS DAUGHTER AND LOVING FAMILY OF MARY ELLEN,
I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THAT MARY ELLEN HAS PASSED AWAY. I MET HER LAST SPRING WHILE UNDERGOING CHEMOTHEREPY. WE HAD MANY CHATS.
DURING THE MONTHS OF SUMMER AND FALL, SHE OFTEN TALKED ABOUT HOW BLESSED SHE & TIM WERE TO HAVE ANNIE
AND HOW SHE ENJOYED TEACHING AT SIDNEY FENN. SHE WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND ALWAYS SO BRAVE. SHE TRULY WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US.
MAY GOD GRANT HER ETERNAL PEACE AND MAY HER FAMILY KNOW THAT THEY ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

Mary Ellen was a truly special lady. During her years at St. Mary's I was priviledged to call her friend benefitting from her firm but gentle advice. Who can ever forget her warm smile and the sparkle in her eye as she revealed an one of her loving ideas. Often over the years I have thought of her. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cole brothers and sisters and with Tim and Anne. Be consoled by your joyful memories. We have all been touched by her and will not forget.

I have had the pleasure of doing MaryEllen's hair for some time now, and the time I spent with her I always admired her wonderful spirit and her love for her husband and daughter. She would just rave over Annie and how special she was and how her and Tim were so blessed to have her. It was a true blessing to have had the opportunity to see how a family with true love exists. Her faith and courage were inspiring. She told me once that she was not afraid to die but sad to leave her family, but she believed she would be going to a better place and join her parents. I do believe God welcomed her with open arms.

It seems like only yesterday that Mary Ellen and I spent hours sharing secrets as only teens could do. The time spent with her family are cherished memories. May God bless her and give her peace. God be with all of her family.

We will all remember the laughter and smiles she had for many of us at Fenn School. She will be missed but remembered always. I worked with Mary Ellen for 6 years as a librarian at Fenn and enjoyed her special way she dealt with her students.
