Matthew Marcus Obituary
Matthew A. Marcus passed away at home on September 14, 2014 due to a long-term seizure disorder.
Matt will be missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Kim Marcus (Vince); sister, Katharyne Starinsky (Tom); grandmother, Mary Young; grandfather Darrell Sapp (Delaine); nephew, Henry - Matt's birthday buddy; niece, Matilda; aunt, Sonya Presper (Tom); uncle, Gregg Baker, uncle Toby Baker (Kelly), uncle Danny Marstellar; scores of cousins and extended family near and far.
Matt had a kind and giving heart, he would give a beggar his last dollar or the hat on his head. Matt loved to go the beach and The Mountain with his family. He enjoyed hiking the towpath. He loved his many pets, especially his dog Lulu. He loved music, the Ohio Lottery and Snickers bars.
Friends and family will be received at Prentice Funeral Home, Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A service will take place immediately following visitation at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI (150 Cross Street, Akron, OH 44311) or Summit Metro Parks (975 Treaty Line Road, Akron, OH 44313).
