Praying for the Swafford Family. He was the gentle giant in the room. He was our "Swaffy Baby" and the class of '93 will have a void because he is gone. His funeral was sweet and healing to the soul. We felt like we were in chapel and we were waiting for him to tell us to scoot over so he could have a seat.
Until we meet on Heaven's Shores dear Matt.

Matt was a great friend I have known for most of my life. We first met at I. B. A. in grade school our first encounter was when we bumped into each other on the playground. He was running one way and i was coming from the other and ran smack into each other with my teeth sinking into his forehead leaving a scar he still had. I will miss him until we meet on those golden shores.

I just wanted to send my condolences to Matt's family. I became friends with Matt at Massillon Christian and played together with him on the basketball team. I have many great memories of Matt. One that comes to mind is when we had a snow day and a group of us decided to go sled riding. I happened to bring my parents toboggan and of course Matt and I felt we had to show off. All 6'5 of him got in the front and I ended up in the back trying to get that thing going as fast as we could. Well we succeeded and went so far we hit a curb and shattered the front of the sled. I still remember the pain and how hard we laughed. I am truly sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers.
