I only knew of Mr. Baer through Joshua Baer and Michelle (Baer) Schuchman. They spoke with great respect for a grandfather they loved dearly. When they got home for the holidays, they always tried to see their grandparents and spend time with them. Thanks for making a difference in their lives.

Steve and Family,

Deepest condolences to you and yours.I remember your dad well from giving us rides to our little league games(and your eventual line-drive homer to right field off Dick J.).Your pop had a white VW and forever wore his golf hat. After one game he took us to the root beer stand on M.Falls Ave.It was a time of much turmoil in my life and I lacked direction, to say the least. You went in to use the restroom and your dad and I turned our attention to a shiny, new convertible that had pulled in next to us.

"Jack", he said," I could buy it for cash right now except for one thing-these." And he held up higher the cigarette he'd been smoking, as a magician might hold his hat for audience inspection.

He'd made his point, and I never forgot. The car,by the way, was called a "Mustang."

Best Always,

Jack Kiser,Class of '70
