Patricia Haines Obituary
Pat Haines, 68, passed away July 30, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born October 6, 1946 in Akron to the late Benjamin and Mary Haines and was a proud 1964 graduate of East High School. She worked for over 40 years as a medical secretary, having more than 30 years at Summit Orthopedic Group and 10 years with the Crystal Clinic's Kent location.
Besides her parents Pat was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles as well as her cousin Dennis Chapman. She is survived by her Aunt, Jean Leimbach of Findlay; cousins, Joanne Haines, Paula Krugh, Candy Horvath, Nancy Swenson, Linda Chapman, Jo Ann Grace, Larry Haines and Jim Ewing. She also leaves behind many valued friends and neighbors.
Per Pat's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Noon on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 (SR 619) with Pastor Bill Hostutler officiating. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park at a later date. In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made in Pat's name to Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County, 4550 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840 or to One of A Kind Pet Rescue, 1929 West Market St., Akron, Ohio 44313. I had the joy of working with Pat at Summit Orthopedic Group in the 70's, and I do mean "joy". She was one of the smartest and funniest people I've had the pleasure of knowing. Her wonderful sense of humor left us all with tears of laughter, and I always smile at the thought of her. God bless you, Pat, and keep you in His perfect love.
