Richard Grigg Obituary
Richard "Dick" R. Grigg, Jr. passed away on Friday, December 28th, 2018 at the age of 70. He was a dear father of the late Nicholas, the late Nicole and Stephanie (Jonathan) Taylor; brother of Carolyn (Eric) Craig; former husband of Sylviane Grigg and husband of the late Joanne. Further survived by Joanne's children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, January 4th, 2019 at the WISCONSIN CLUB, (900 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Dick was a special person to me. I remember him as a new hire engineer at Wisconsin electric, Oak Creek Power Plant, in the early 1970's. I was a plant technician at the time. As an extremely intelligent and innovative engineer, along with his fellow engineer Scott Patulski, Dick moved up quickly becoming the Manager of Pleasant Prairie Power Plant being built in the later 70's and the plant starting up in 1980. Dick took a chance hiring me as P4's first Instrument & Control Supervisor in 1978. I spent many hours with Dick and the plant Operating Manager, Richard Goldmann, explaining how I & C building errors/malfunctions would be corrected so as not to fail in the future. That experience, along with Dick's guidance in that time, taught me the appropriate leadership to have a wonderful career. Dick, of course, moved up the ladder rapidly and our working time together ended, but I will never forget those years. He had a large impact on me, personally, for which I am truly greatful. Thank you Richard Grigg, for you guidance, understanding and leadership in our working community.
