NORTON - Bob, our common, uncommon man, succumbed to cancer on Sunday, May 27, 2007, after a year long battle.
He was born in Wadsworth on Feb 20, 1927, served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace-Loral in 1988 after 36 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Loreen Mountz. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lucille; dear son, Ted (Denise) Mountz; brother, Richard (Beverly) Mountz; sister, Shirley Bauschlinger; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was a man of many talents, could build a home, do the carpentry, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work.
The family would like to thank Magnolia Care Center for the wonderful care they gave Bob.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave. Barberton. Family will receive friends from 1 until the time of service. Burial at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity or Norton Women's Club Shoe Fund at P.O. Box 1101 Norton, Ohio 44203.
