Ronald Bann Obituary
Ronald "Pete" Bann, 83, of Stow, passed away October 14, 2013.
Pete was born July 16, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to parents Alex and Audrey Bann. He spent four years as an Airman with the U.S. Air Force, serving in Korea and Japan, and was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He was employed by Wonder Bread-Continental Baking Company for over 43 years in Toledo and Akron. Pete enjoyed sailing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Pete is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; sons, Ron (Betsy) Bann of Ravenna, David (Kathy) Bann of Sterling, Virginia, and Terry (Mary) Bann of Twinsburg; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 18, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., with service to follow at 2 p.m., at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market Street, Akron). Memorial donations may be made in Pete's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, New York, 10001) or Hospice of VNS (c/o Akron General Foundation, 400 Wabash Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44307).
