Ruth Ruddock Obituary
She was born July 7, 1913 in Indiana, Pa. to Charles and Nettie Jamison. Ruth was a longtime member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church and taught Home Economics at Roswell Kent Junior High School for many years. She was an active leader in the 4-H Club and the Girl Scouts. Ruth had a flair for baking desserts, wonderful bread and rolls, was an expert seamstress and created beautiful needlework. She devoted much time in her later years to crossword puzzles and bible study.
Preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; parents; two brothers; and one sister; Ruth is survived by sons, Geary (Frances) and James (Dixie); daughters, Bonnie (David) Roule and Susan (Paul) Ricchiuto; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Monday, 11 a.m., at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Ave., Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating. Burial at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Ruddock taught me how to sew at Roswell Kent. Everytime I thread my sewing machine I think of her. I'm sorry for your loss but please take comfort in knowing there are many who remember her fondly.

Please know that your sorrow is also mine. She allowed me to call her "mom"
for forty plus years, what an honor for me. She was the most kind, loving, caring, sharing, thoughtful, person I have ever known. As a grandma and a great-grandma she was wonderful. I loved her deeply. Thanks for sharing her with me.

Sue,Paul,Beth,Carmen and family-I am so sorry to hear of Grandma's passing. I loved coming over to visit..she always made me feel as if I was part of the family.I will miss seeing her smile.
