Vivian Lombardi Obituary

Vivian Louise Lombardi (Pardue)

Vivian Louise Lombardi (nee Pardue) was born in Chapmanville, West Virginia, May 3, 1942. On December 6, 2017, Vivian Louise finished this journey and joined her parents, Maxie and Margie Pardue, in heaven.

Vivian dedicated years of service to her lifelong passion, nursing. She proudly earned her R.N. degree in 1975. During her career, she discovered her specialty in geriatric nursing.

Always ready for adventure, Vivian moved west to work with Navajo citizens at a reservation hospital. Before retirement, Vivian worked in hospice nursing, her favorite field. Known for her fierce independence, Vivian was a champion for social action, rights of the elderly, and women's causes. Vivian's phone book includes numbers for all Ohio senators and representatives, and she did not hesitate to call them when an issue provoked her. Vivian had a flair for fashion; she adored shopping, good food, and time with family and friends.

Vivian is survived by daughters, Elaine Fippin (James), and Charmaine McHugh (Jason); grandchildren, Danielle Lenze, Curtis Lenze, Jared Lenze, and Emelie Fippin, and great-granddaughter, Ella Lenze. She is also survived by brother, Max Pardue, Jr. (Donna); sisters, Mandy Peters and Jeanette Dempster (David); dear friends, David and Virginia Pool also survive Vivian. Many, many cousins, nieces, and nephews will miss Vivian Louise, as will her special dog, LuLu. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and husband, Russell J. Cobett.

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, December 17, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Old 97 in Kenmore, 1503 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, Ohio, 44314. Please reach out to Elaine, Charmaine, or Jeanette for details.

Mrs. Fippin - I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. Your mother sounds like an incredible lady, and I would expect no less considering what an amazing leader and role model you have always been. I will be thinking of you and your family and hoping you find healing and comfort.

Dear Jeanette,
May our God comfort your heart on the home going to heaven of your dear sister Vivian.
We moved to Wadsworth 9 years ago and we live 5 minutes away from Vivian's home.
How sad that we never met her.
My daughter Gerry Lynn was a registered nurse
in Texas.
She was only 69 years old and our Lord took her home July 02.
We have God's promise that we will see them
again.

Louise will be sadly missed, she had a lot of wisdom very early in life, she baby sat us at 9-10 years old, and seemed so much older. I am so glad for the assurance of her salvation, and know we will be with her again.

In memory of my dear cousin Louise. So many will miss your compassion, love for your family and much more. Jesus will end the separation one day. These days of sorrow will be wiped away.
