"TOGETHER AGAIN"

William L. Shaub

William L. Shaub, 79, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005.

He was born on July 29, 1925, in North Canton, the third of five children of William J. and Edna M. Shaub. He was a graduate of North Canton High School in 1944 and attended Kent State University. He served his country during World War II as a quartermaster and signalman with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He was a member of Hoover Lodge 770 F&AM in North Canton. He was also a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren. He worked for CSX Railroad for 36 years as a tower operator and train dispatcher on the "main line" between New Cas tle, Pa., and Willard, Ohio. Bill was an avid bowler and golfer in the area and loved sports in general. He was living at the Danbury in North Canton prior to his death.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joan (nee Patterson); his parents; and sister, Margaret Bennett, he is survived by his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, Daniel W. and Laurie D. Shaub, Danielle, Justin, and Lauren of North Canton; Dr. Ted F. and Norma Shaub, Kyle, Timothy, Evan, and Colin of Akron. Also surviv ing are sisters, Claranna Snyder of North Canton, Julia Marker of Mineral City, and Carol Brumbaugh of Montpelier, Ohio; and many friends from the Danbury.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005, at North Canton Cemetery, with Rev. Stan Sawyer officiating.

Arrangements by Karlo & Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the building fund at the Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren, 4152 Mt.
