Claude Sines Obituary

GALLIPOLIS — Claude Alfred Sines left this world on 26 March 2017 while at his home and surrounded by his family. "Al," as he was known, was born 19 April 1947. He was the only son of Claude E. Sines and Eva T. Bostic.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Irene Oldaker.

His is survived by his loving wife, Reva B. Nibert, his three sons: Chad Sines of Gallipolis, Corey (and Holly) Sines of Pickerington, and Cyle Sines of Glenwood, West Virginia and a sister Carolyn Sines of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. In addition, he is survived by nine grand-children: Amanda Sines, Colton Carter, Caleb Carter, Corrine Sines, Sheridan Sines, Faith Sines, Rachel Carter, Collin Sines, and Alayna Sines all of Pickerington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Al was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in many positions in the Church, most recently as Bishop of the Gallipolis Ward. Before retiring in 2002, Al worked for 37 years for the Kroger Company. For many of those years he worked as a meat cutter in various stores in the area including Point Pleasant, Ripley, Pomeroy, and Gallipolis. Al was also a member of the Cottageville Masonic Lodge.

Visiting and funeral services for Claude Alfred Sines will be held 31 March 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4588 State Route 160, Gallipolis, Ohio. The viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow. After the funeral service, he will be buried at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Leon, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the church. Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, W.Va., is serving the family.

Reva - Deepest sympathy to you and all your family at the passing of Brother Sines. He loved and served the Lord faithfully, was always very kind, very positive and shared his good sense of humor with everyone; a good example to folks of all ages. He will be sorely missed.
