GALLIPOLIS — Mark Lee Trout, age 52, of Gallipolis passed away on Sunday August 20, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center. Born May 21, 1965 in Gallipolis, Ohio he was the son of the late Rev. Miles Lee Trout and the late Ada Earleen Saunders Trout and the late Helene Shuler Trout, in addition to his parents he was preceded by a brother in law; John Berger.
Mark was a devoted husband and father. Any day he spent with family was a good day. Mark gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and has always been active in his church Community Christian Fellowship. He was an avid fan of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved his Ford truck, his dogs and camping. He was a co-manager of Speedway at Jackson Pike.
He is survived by wife of 16 years Kim Smith Trout of Gallipolis; Children: Kristen E. Trout of Seattle, Wash., Amanda L. Trout, Olivia D. (Eric) Freeman of Point Pleasant, Katie Patten of Harrison, Ohio, Kaleb (Jackie) Patten of Gallipolis, and Joshua I. Trout at home. His beloved Grandchildren: Lyla Rose Freeman, Levi James Patten, Miles Victor Patten, and Charlie Corbitt. Brother; Jim Trout of Florida; Sisters; Cameron Berger of Cheshire and Ellen Neal of Florida; Father and Mother In Law, Roger and Carolyn Smith of Albany; Brother in law and Sister in law; Phillip and Sandy Smith of Albany; Niece; Whitney (Colby) Roseberry of North Carolina; and by a Nephew; Tyler (Breyanne) Smith of Georgia.
Funeral services will be at noon Friday August 25, 2017 at the Church Community Christian Fellowship 290 Trails End Road, Thurman, with Pastor Dale Geiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Friday. Everyone is encouraged to wear Pittsburgh Steeler or Ohio State Buckeye Jersey's or colors.
