Adam Skeith Obituary

Adam Hunter Skeith, 25, born February 16, 1983, in Denison, Texas, left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Adam grew up in Durant, Oklahoma and graduated from Durant High School in 2001. He attended Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City and University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. He graduated Naval Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois in 2007 and was assigned his post on the U.S.S. Monterey stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. Adam's passions were music, movies, swimming, running, and scuba diving. Adam was a sweet, loving boy, and a devoted Son, Grandson, and Brother. He was deeply loved and will be missed by friends and family alike. We will miss his wit, his charm, and his warm hugs. Adam has joined his great-grandparents Minnie Skeith, Eva Sas, Lucy Gabbard and Flora Scott who preceded him to heaven. He leaves behind his mother, Regina Scott Hawkins of Mead, Oklahoma his father, Andrew Skeith and two sisters, Maggie & Rachel Skeith of Edmond, Oklahoma as well as grandparents Bill and Jeanne Skeith of Oklahoma City and Ruby & Leon Scott of Mead, Oklahoma. Adam will be laid to rest by his family, alongside his maternal grandparents in a private graveside service at Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, Oklahoma. Our family would like to express our deepest appreciation for all sympathies and condolences expressed by our many friends and family. He is now at peace in heaven with his cherished grandmothers who were so devoted to him. The Lord bless you and keep you: the Lord make his face shine upon you: and be gracious to you: the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.Numbers 6:24-26 SMITH & KERNKE14624 N.
