C.L. Stanfill Obituary

C.L. 'Cue' passed away Feb 7, 2005. He was born June 27, 1927 in Davis, OK to Cue L. and Bertha Stanfill. As a boy, C.L. and his brother Bill sold newspapers on the corners of Altus. C.L. was involved in several civic organizations, especially Kiwanis where he served as Lt. Governor and President of his club many times. Cue enjoyed working with children and was an avid golfer. Cue was an Army Veteran serving in both WWII and Korea. He spent his working career in the building material business, managing and owning several businesses around the country. He is survived by his wife Pat, sons: Mike and wife Kay of Des Moines, Iowa, Eric and wife Kathleen, and daughter Carol and husband Carey Greene of Jacksonville, TX, stepsons: Greg Rowlett of Grand Junction, CO and Mark and wife Dayna of Jacksonville, FL, four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren, brothers: Terry and wife Wanda, Ronnie and wife Nancy, sisters: Ensey McAlister, Kay and husband Bill Moore, Lila and husband Phil Hoover, and Connie and husband George Ford, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter Sharon Kay, parents, brother Bill, sister Brenda, and stepson Larry Rowlett. Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 at the Hunter Dignity Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

C.L. is my step-grandfather and I find peace knowing that his suffering is over and he is in Heaven.
