Charlene Chisholm Obituary

Charlene D. Chisholm died peacefully in her home Sunday, August 16, 2009. Charlene was born in Oklahoma City to John H. and Bertha (West) Herndon on November 14, 1915. Charlene graduated from Central High School in 1933. She married Enoch P. Chisholm on March 22, 1940 and they were faithful companions until his death on May 10, 1985. Charlene worked her adult life for the FHA, HMIC and at age 75 retired from Lasso Corporation. She was an active member of the congregation and the Women's Club at Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years. She is pre-deceased by her parents and her sister Maxine. Charlene is survived by her nephew Paul J. Davis and his wife Ingeborg of Oklahoma City, her great-nieces Lisa Long of Jenks, OK, Lori Thornton of Oklahoma City, and Jennifer Damon of Virginia as well as 4 great-grand-nephews and 2 great-grand-nieces. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care provided to Charlene by her caregivers Barbara Booker, La Sonya Bowler, Betty Blalock and Susie Hawkins. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
