CHRISTOPHER KIKER

Dec 1, 1980 - Sept 20. 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Our precious Chris is now in peace and among the angels and with his twin sister, Catherine. He left his family and many friends the gifts of love, generosity, kindness and fun. He loved his little son, Ethan, with all his heart, and Ethan was the light of his life. Chris' tenderness, warmth and beautiful spirit touched us all, and we are heartbroken at our loss. We will deeply miss him. After years of struggle with addiction, Chris spent the last months of his life at Rob's Ranch, a Christian-based center of recovery in Purcell, Oklahoma. While there, he thrived mentally, physically and spiritually, and we were able to see again the pure spirit who is truly Chris. Sadly, despite his efforts and great desire as well as the love and commitment of those around him, he lost his battle. However, Chris never lost his faith in Christ, which carried him through it all. We hope that in knowing Chris and our family, others might be helped with their own battles and those around them helped to understand the power of addiction. Chris taught us compassion, empathy, and understanding and that the most amazing of people can be overwhelmed and made helpless by the disease. Chris leaves behind: his son, Ethan Kiker, 4 years old; Ethan's mother, Brooke Williams; his mother, Marian Kiker; his father, Guy Kiker; and sisters, Caroline Guarraia, Elaine Honig, Ashley Horacek, Alice Turnbow, and Karen Kiker. Chris was blessed with a large family: uncles, Gary Watts and Charles Watts; aunt, Elizabeth Harris; and many loving cousins. There will be a private memorial service Tuesday, September 23.
