Ward was one of the kindest people I´ve ever met. I loved hanging out with him the times we did & the talks we had. Once he came to my house & he laughed at how organized my kitchen cabinets were. All my labels were turned the same way & it was perfect. After he left that night I opened a cabinet to get something & everything in my cabinets were scrambled! Haha! Ol Ward, We have missed you through the years & wish things had turned out different in NC. You were a good man Ward Chase, a good man.

Ward was one of a kind! He always put others first and knew how to love life and live it in abundance. There are so many wonderful memories many could share of him. His heart was pure as gold. His smile would light up any room. He was selfless and had the heart of a servant. While we are all sad of his passing, we are thankful he is no longer fighting this battle and his body is completely healed. Many prayers and blessings to the Chase family. He will forever be remembered in our hearts.

I went to school in Jones with Ward. We played baseball together. He was a year older than me but the one thing that stands out to this day is that he never treated me any different than anyone else. He was one of the nicest guys ever. I loved to watch him pitch. He gave new meaning to rock n fire. There might have actually been fire behind it. The wind created from his arm speed probably put it out. He will be missed dearly by everyone he met.
