Elaine, I awoke this morning with John on my mind, it was our duck hunting adventure. We had been by the lake for over an hour with no ducks in sight then I looked an saw two ducks coming in over my right shoulder. I moved my shotgun to my shoulder and the I heard two loud shotgun blast in my left ear and a loud plop just to my right. I turned and it was a duck. John had saw another couple of ducks coming the opposite direction and took two shots and the duck dropped by bag so all I needed to do was to pick him up and put him in the bag, no fuss, no muss, just put him the bag and bring him home. It is a very wonderful memory of a very good friend that I miss. He was there when my dad passed and his and your support will never be forgotten.
You and he will remain in my prayers.

Elaine, I want to convey my deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family. I was deeply saddened to learn of John's unexpected death. Since I moved I had lost touch with you and John. I googled yesterday to find contact information for you and learned of this tragedy. Dr. John helped Lexi, Corbin and me through such difficult times. He always understood and helped me put things in perspective. John had such a gift for helping others and for living life to the fullest. I have always admired the loving relationship that you and John modeled for others. You both have been the best of friends to us. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Much love, Cynthia Little

Susan and I met John and Elaine about 20+ years ago in Cancun, Great place to meet!! I didn't like him at first. After watching him give and give and give some more over the years, I grew to love him. He helped our family unselfishly on several occasions and his suggestions worked. Loved to play music with him and listen to that great voice. I am sure he will be missed by his beautiful wife Elaine and his family. RIP John, you always kept it interesting and fun!!! Prayers to everyone.

I will never forget you. You helped me so much with the loss of my son and then the loss of my mother. Who will help me with the loss of you? I enjoyed listening to you talk about the love of your life and how much you felt blessed. The love you had for your family would warm my cold heart. Thank you for that. You are with someone you loved very much now. Our Lord. Someday, I hope you will be there to greet me. My prayers are for your family because I know you are in good hands now. Thank you for saving my life. Goodbye my dear friend. You will be missed.

I am going to miss your wonderful inspiring words, Dr. Hall. You did so much for me and I didn't get a chance to properly thank you. The lessons I learned from you will stay with me for the rest of my life. You exuded passion with everything you did in life. Your undying love for your wife will be the most touching memory for me personally. It was so beautiful to see that deep love like yours existed...a true gentleman.

My friend Dr. Hall, you touched nearly every aspect of my life in a positive way. You inspire me to be a better husband, father, mentor, teacher, man. You gave me advice concerning my wife, my daughter, even my friends. You never judged me, in fact you usually had a knack for telling me how you have the same faults. You assisted my wife in finding a career that has boosted her confidence, her self-esteem, as well as our financial situation. And you do it all effortlessly. My nephew has said you are like a Grandfather to him. What is crazy is I could go 5 years without seeing you and walk in one day and we would have a one hour conversation(that seemed like 10 mins) and it was as if we had seen each other last week. Make no mistake, I will strive to get the most out of life, the most out of my marriage, and will try to inspire others as you have your whole life. You and your family are simply beautiful people and I am most fortunate to have been a small part of your life. Thank you and God Bless you!

Dr. John was an important part of my life. He helped me through someof the hardest times in my life. He was an inspiration and a motivator. His undying compassion for me and my struggles have remained a part of me. We had many great talks and I will never forget his face as he stood tall in the back of my university classroom as I defended my thesis, the one he helped me power through. You and Elaine are very special people who hold a tremendous place in my heart. I love you both very much and I will continue to carry your teachings with me, to share with all. Rest peacefully my beloved friend.

He left this world much too soon. But he left it a better place with all the people he touched and helped.
Thank you John for helping me be who I am today. I would not be here without you. From the heart of a 14 year old girl you helped so many years ago, thank you and I love you.
My condolences to your beautiful family.
Rest in peace.

Lidia and Gil Sanders

May 27, 2014

It is with tremendous difficulty that Lidia and I express how deeply we feel about John's most unexpected death.
What began over 20 years ago as a business relationship between John and I quickly became a warm personal relationship. Lidia and I shared many personal moments with John and Elaine, and the friendship lasted even after many moves from Oklahoma due to my federal service. What Lidia and I will never forget was his kind and thoughtful heart and his assistance after the death of my father.
It is with great personal sorrow that Lidia and I extend our most heartfelt sympathy.
