I have many fond memories of Kevin at UCO. I especially remember his magnificent smile, his great sense of humor, his passion for life, and caring for his friends including the furry ones. There was always a unique energetic presence during class when Kevin was there! Despite his many health challenges of his recent years, his attitude was impressive and I am saddened by his death.

I enjoyed Kevin's unique personality. I had him in class and worked next to him in our teacher education offices at UCO. He always had something witty to say and was never at a loss for words. I think of him often. I always share the story with my classes (I don't mention his name) of things we are not to do when we hold "conversation groups" with non native English speakers. I share with them that one time I walked in on a conversation session, and there was (Kevin) this student, teaching the International students how to say a few cuss words. He told me, after I stopped laughing, that they needed to know how to use the words correctly in a sentence - only Kevin!

I must say that Kevin made an impact in any and all classes he took in the Adult Education program here at UCO. I still have the "K" he made me during his training demo. Kevin, you will always be a fond memory for me as a faculty member. You were definitely a presence here at UCO and a fond one.

Kevin was such a blessing to all of at the University of Central Oklahoma! He gave me far more that just his creativity on the editorial and publishing of the College of Education journal, The Central Forum. He always had just the right thing to say to those who needed a kind word or those who needed a "swift kick in the anatomy". I still have the toy crown in my back car window he gave me after a particularly difficult day with the words, "You're a queen in my book, Dr. Green!" I could fill up an entire book with memories this wonderful man gave me. Thank you, Kevin, for being you and part of my life.

Well, Kevin definately got the last laugh, as we would all expect. I remember a time a few years back when he found a stray dog. He quickly delivered it to our front porch, leash and all, then called his friends CRACKING UP at his latest scheme. (Can't you just hear that laugh?) He proudly announced that he had just given the kids (his nieces and nephew) a new pet. When asked, "Did you ask their parents first?" He laughed, "Well HELL NO!" (THAT was the fun part for him!) We already had two dogs and some other critters, so Mike (Kevin's brother) fortunately found a home for the little mutt before the kids got home from school. Well, at Kevin's funeral, 21 doves were released per Kevin's request. Some of them didn't want to leave, and of course our kids were more than happy to offer them accommodations. When we explained to the kids the typical story about how much care pets require, etc etc, our youngest daughter, little Bethany said, "But Mommy, they will remind us of Uncle Kevin!" What can you say to that? So, this week we will be shopping for a new bird cage for Hope, Harmony and Prissy, our new pet doves, courtesy of Kevin. Thanks Kev! You got us again.
Lovingly,
Your sister-in-law Valerie

Kevin was a very dear person to me and I will always love him. Everyone has different memories of Kevin, but I can say honestly that almost all of mine were positive. He was always very loving and kind to me and he impacted my life in a way that no one else ever has. I will miss him terribly.

Well, what can you say, there was only one Kevin Boudreaux, and he could be a lot of fun, and will never be forgotten by those who knew him. Rest In Peace, my friend.
