Kevin Norman Obituary

Kevin Karl, 47, died June 30, 2003, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born October 17, 1955, in Duncan, OK, the son of Jimmie Ray and Barbara Ann Brown Norman. He was a 1973 graduate of Edmond Memorial High School and earned a Bachelors of Arts in Broadcasting from Central State University, Edmond. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and was in Student Broadcasting with KCSC Radio while at Central State. He was employed with Citadel Communications and Tyler Broadcasting. His father preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother, Barbara, of Edmond; brother, Randy and his wife, Gwen, Broken Arrow, OK; two nieces, Emily and husband, Dan Brown, Cincinnati, OH, Melanie Norman, Oklahoma City; a nephew, Shelby Norman, Broken Arrow, OK. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Timothy Siler, his nurse, Marsha Baxter, and Odyssey Hospice for their support during Kevin's illness. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Smith & Kernke Chapel, 14624 N. May Avenue.

Kevin brought new age music to oklahoma city in the early eighties, so many people knew and liked kevin, he will be missed
