I think of you often. Coming over on a school night, with Auntie Bessie in tow, she still wearing her suit from work, and you likely still having on your Water department uniform. Oh how I miss that crazy grin and strong-gripped handshake. Your "Pops" left us this year. We miss all of the men in our family. Praying for your peace, comfort, and eternal rest. Niece Toni.

I use to call him D J knew him through my uncles and relatives. He was just a wonderful nice man. Always kept a smile on his face and made you feel special. He use to call me kido, when I was just a little girl. God took an angel to be back with him. Made me sad, he was one of a kind.

Well, the day has arrived. I kept thinking about how I would feel on your birthday. Surprisingly, I'm doing okay. I am still sad, but can't help but smile when I look at your smile and remember how happy you were with the kids and I there. I'll be loving you forever...

The time between your last birthday and your next birthday is rapidly approaching. We remember you fondly. Still with tears as we come to grips that the CB radio talking, text chatting, email writing communicator has been silenced. Your voice and spirit is missed. To me, you really were larger than life. I miss and love you.

Death ends a life, but it does not end the relationship we have with our loved ones who have died. The bonds of love are never severed by death, and the love we shared will never die either. I love you.

what can I say? The days, the weeks, the month continue but I feel like my life was stopped in 2012. I feel like some body is punking us. I've never had to live in a world without you. I don't like the feeling of moving on without you. but I pray for strength daily that God will allow me to get better, to remember you, and always hold you close to my heart. forever loved, forever missed.

When I heard Mr. Davis had passed I was shocked. He was one of the nicest persons I have ever known. Always kind, smart and a good friend to many in our neighborhood. He lived his life in a way to change stereotypes people have about African-American males. All African-American males should admire the dignity Mr. Davis showed. Mrs. Davis was blessed to have had a wonderful husband. The family has my deepest sympathy. We pray God will comfort and give strength to the family in this time of beravement.

Mere words canit describe the heartache that I feel today knowing that I will never see that mega watt smile again or hear you say ”hey kitto.” I had one of the hippest, coolest, funnest uncles that a girl could ask for. Thank you for the fun times, for encouragement, for recording our families' major life events, for just being you. I love you and will never forget you. Your presence will missed.
