I worked with Paul Thompson at Jasco from 1990-1996 and I have never met anyone who made such a lasting impression upon me. I remember sneaking around to carry boxes of paper up the stairs before Paul could do it himself. I got caught once and he very politely told me that was his job. When I happened upon him in the warehouse reading his newspaper or getting 40 winks, I eased by him so that I wouldn't disturb him. No one deserved to rest more and he did that so rarely. When the warehouse employees worked Saturdays, Paul was right there. I never saw him in a bad mood, he was always smiling. Paul was a lovely man and I will miss his beautiful smile and wonderful, kind spirit.

I am thoroughly sorry to have missed Paul's funeral. It has been years since I have worked at Jasco and with Mr. Thompson. Even though many years have passed, my encounters with Paul and my memories of him are so vivid. It feels like yesterday when I saw him tooling down the halls of the Jasco Warehouse. He was a fixture for Jasco Products for many years. His enthusiasm for life was unheralded and his faith in humanity was unsurpassed. There will be no one like him. I can almost see him in heaven looking down at us with that stogie hanging from his lips, waiting for just the right moment to throw in an encouraging word. We will miss you brother in Christ but have comfort in knowing that we will see you once again some day!

Paul was one of the best human beings I have ever had the priviledge to meet. He was always smiling and never met a stranger. I came to meet and know Paul through my employment at Jasco from 1990 to 1995. He had a kind heart and could bring the entire room to tears with his heart felt speeches during company meetings. He would change your tire, start your car to let it warm up or scrape the windows after a snow just out of kindness. I remember so well the fun he had when we asked him to sit behind Steve's desk with his cigar in hand and took his photo as a joke on Steve. I hear Steve has the photo still to this day. Wow, what a world this would be if there were more people like Paul Thompson in it. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

To Paul's family: I worked with Paul at Jasco from 1991-95 and will never forget his smile, warmth and geniune concern for us fellow workers. One of my fondest memories is of him telling about catching alligators in Louisiana. Paul will be missed but I know the angels are singing and the Lord is showing him to his room in our Father's mansion! May God keep you surrounded in His peace and compassion during this time. God Bless! Teresa Pennington
