RAY LANGSTON Obituary

June 22, 1939 - April 27, 2016 EDMOND After 76 years of a life well lived, Ray L. Langston passed away with his family at his side on April 27, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born to Charles and Suzie Langston on June 22, 1939 in Tipton, OK. Ray retired from the USMC after 20 years of dedicated service and three tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed camping in his RV and watching Westerns (especially John Wayne). Ray worked in his Koi pond, in his younger days he went drag racing, enjoyed photography, horses, and of course OU Football! Ray was the youngest of seven children. He was ornery, yet practical, but most of all loyal. You never paid for a meal when you went out with Ray, whether it was just the two of you or the whole family. Ray was happiest when he was spending time with family and of course his pets. From parakeets to dogs, he loved them all and treated them like royalty. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ardena Langston; brothers, James, Wayne and Harold Langston; sisters, Lena Packer, Ruth Joy and Dretha Langston. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Edith Langston; daughters, Tammy King and husband Larry, Belinda Wells and husband Kevin; son, Raymond Langston and wife Laura; grandchildren, Michelle Barclay and husband Chris, Tara Gaddy and husband Wes, DaleRay Spoonemore and wife Carrie, Landon Langston and wife Kaela, Kyle King and wife Jessie, Corey Langston and wife Lauren, Jenna Savage and husband Timothy; seven great-granddaughters and six great grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services to celebrate Ray's life will be 10:30AM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Resthaven Funeral Chapel. He will be laid to rest next to Ardena, at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, www.ResthavenOKC.com
