Russell Robbins Obituary

Robbins, Sr. May 24, 1944 - February 13, 2012 BOSSIER CITY, LA Russell Polk Robbins, Sr., 67, of Bossier City, LA, passed away February 13, 2012 in Ellenton, FL. He was born on May 24, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Charles P. and Frances L. (Foster) Robbins. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was retired from the Oklahoma City Fire Department with many years of service. Throughout his life he was an avid photographer, worked as a Master Craftsman and spent his time collecting and dealing in foreign coins. He is survived by his wife, Janet Heinen-Robbins of Bossier City, LA; two sons, Russell P. Robbins, Jr. of Palmetto, FL, Anthony C. Robbins of Buffalo, NY; four daughters, Sari J. Laws of Oklahoma City, OK, Robin A. Lupp, Kellye E. Frederick both of Palmetto, FL, Teri R. DiBella of Myakka City, FL; two brothers, Gene Robbins of Oklahoma City, OK, Mark Robbins of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Pamela Manghelli of Lancaster, CA; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. His influence on the lives of so many will never be duplicated and he will live on in our hearts forever. Private family services will be held at a later date. By far the best uncle I could have ever had. I will miss him deeply. Don't worry Russ I'll take care of ur Pamy and I'll keep in touch with Janet. I love you and I'll see ya in time. Tell grandma and grandpa hi for me. :-)
