VIRGIL LITTLE Obituary

Oct 3, 1936 - Sept 5, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Dr. Virgil Lander "Lano" Little, 76, passed away on September 5, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lanny was born to Hoyt and Elsie Little in Strong City, Oklahoma. He graduated Classen High School, Central State University, and the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1966. He practiced dentistry for 46 years. Lanny loved to travel, fish, hunt, snow ski, water ski, and play golf. He was always up for adventure with friends and family and was known for his wonderful laugh. In recognition of Lanny's love of all dogs and adoration for his black Lab, Jack; chocolate Lab, Snicker; and red Lab, Fergie, the family requests donations be made to the Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, a donation-only funded nonprofit that finds homes for over 600 animals annually and was exceptionally helpful during the recent tornado in Moore. Lanny was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diana Parham; sister-in-law, Margaret Little; and nephew, Jimmy Little, Jr. Survivors include Charlene, his wife of 36 years; daughter, Misty Williams and husband Corey; stepdaughter, Kristin Herring; grandson, Dustin Harman; brother, Dr. James Hoyt Little; nieces, Vicky Newby, Kathy Springman and husband John, and Janet Bradford and husband David; and many beloved great- nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
