LA GRANGE
Carla Jean Wilson, age 79, of La Grange, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025.
She was born to the late Carl Waterbury and Jean (Jones) Painter on Oct. 15, 1945, in Louisville, Ky.
Carla was a very talented crafter, using her skills to work in her friend's craft store for many years. She also enjoyed reading and creating flower arrangements.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwain Wilson.
Left to cherish the memory of Carla are her children, Donna Harrod (Tony) and Kelly Wilson (Neva); grandchildren, Carie, Clay, Tommy and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Joey, Katie, Mason, Carson and Luke; and extended family, and friends.
A celebration of Carla's life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 West Jefferson Street in La Grange on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery in La Grange.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Dare to Care in Carla's memory.
