Joseph Cantrell of Fort Thomas, Ky. passed away on Sept. 16 2024. He is survived by his wife; Meredith, children; Kylee and Grayson, father; Joseph, brother; James (Katie) and a niece; Lainey Cantrell. Joseph was born in Pasadena,Texas and grew up in Goshen, Ky. He was gifted in wrestling and football through high school. He graduated from North Oldham High School in 2004. He lived in Lexington, Ky. for a year in 2016 where he made countless friends and met his wife. He married his wife, Meredith, in 2022. Together they lived with their two children, Kylee (11) and Grayson (3), in Fort Thomas, Ky. He was a skilled interior and exterior painter, and was growing his own painting business. He was a die-hard Louisville Cardinals fan. He loved sports, playing poker and dominoes. He was passionate about collecting sneakers and sports cards. He deeply loved his wife and children. Joey was incredibly personable, likable and kind-hearted. He made friends everywhere he went. He attended 7Hills Church in Florence, Ky., and had a strong relationship with God. He was devoted to helping others who were struggling, whenever he possible could, always willing to stick out his hand. Joey will be deeply missed by all who knew loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 3-8 p.m., followed by a funeral service on Sept. 20, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kylee and Grayson's education fund.
