Ardis Langenhan Obituary
PENFIELD -- Ardis passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2021.
Born January 19, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois. Predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Mildred Leigh; brother, Byron Leigh. She is survived; son, Mark (Barbara) Langenhan; two grandsons, Dr. Joseph (Dr. Sophie Blanchard) Langenhan, David (Jamie) Langenhan, two great-grandsons, Gabriel (Joseph) and Wilhelm (David), one great granddaughter Annabelle (David); Daughter, Laura Langenhan (Dr. Jeffrey) Fichter; two granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer Fichter Stanistreet (Dr. Bryan); two great grandsons and one great granddaughter, Gavin, Nolan, Addison, and Emily (Victor) Bajenaru; sister, Sarah Leigh (William) Evans; several nieces and nephews.
Ardis attended Western Reserve University, was a member of the Junior League in Cleveland Ohio, was a member of the Irondequoit Chapter of the D.A.R., volunteered for decades with the Friends of Strong, was a Girl Scout Leader, an avid bridge player and was an active member of Asbury First United Methodist Church, Rochester, NY. She had a zest for life and was loved by three generations, proud to call her Mom, Grandma and GG.
A Private Memorial Service and Interment will be held at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Please make a donation to the Asbury Dining and Caring Center, A Ministry of Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue, Rochester, New York 14607, online at: http://asburyfirst.org/give .
