Ethel McKerrow Obituary
FREEDOM -- Ethel K. McKerrow (Holsapple) of Freedom, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the age of 88.
She was born February 17, 1937 in Kingston, NY, a daughter of the late Milton and Inez (Elliott) Holsapple. She graduated from Albany High School in 1954 and worked as an Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of Albany Public Schools. Ethel enjoyed gardening, watching birds, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also gave the Lord a life long service.
In 1969, she married George McKerrow and moved to Freedom where she was the rural mail carrier for 23 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Kim (Ed) Carley of Freedom, and Eric (Terri) McKerrow of Nunda, NY; grandchildren: Zackary, Dustin, Lauren, and Paige; as well as three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Robert, Donald, and Marjorie Holsapple.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 11am-1pm at the WS Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St. Arcade, where a Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. Final interment will take place in Freedom Cemetery.
