Forrest Bellamy Obituary

WILDOMAR, Calif. - Forrest Bruner "Rusty" Bellamy of Wildomar passed away on Wednesday (March 7, 2012) following a brief illness.
Rusty was born on Feb. 7, 1937, in Bradford, Pa.; the son of George Bellamy and Lila Bruner Bellamy. Following graduation from Allegany Central School in 1955, he entered the U.S. Air Force as a mechanic. After retiring from the military in 1964, Rusty returned to the Olean area and established two businesses, "Russ Bellamy's 10th Street Texaco" service station and "F.B. Bellamy & Co.," which specialized in automotive radiator repair. In 1972, he moved to California where he worked as a truck driver; and for the Riverside Transit Agency. He retired from the RTA in 2001.
Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing, hot rodding, motorcycling, drag racing and woodworking. An avid gun collector, he was also an expert marksman. As a lifelong lover of dogs, Rusty adored his Black Labrador Retrievers, Munger and Max.
Surviving is his beloved wife Rose; a sister, Mary (Norman) Moore of Allegany, N.Y.; a brother, Terrance (Paula) Bellamy of Olean, N.Y.; two sons, Anthony Bellamy of Oklahoma and Brian Bellamy of California; two daughters, Renee Hutchings of Oklahoma and Vicki Giddings of California; as well as a stepson, Christopher Davis of California and stepdaughters, Terra Spillion and Dalene Bowen of California; in addition to several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rusty was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Jay Bellamy; and a son, Garen Bellamy.
As per Rusty's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. His family asks that those who knew him remember him for his lively spirit. A private memorial celebration is pending.
