Francis Neiler Obituary
Fran was born on Feb. 9, 1920, in Bessemer, Ala., and was a daughter of Thomas and Janie Fitzpatrick Nolen. On Aug. 2, 1947, in Olean, she married her husband of 28 years, Ronald J. Flaim, who predeceased her on Sept. 30, 1975. On May 10, 1980, in Olean, she married Gene F. Neiler, who predeceased her on April 18, 1994.
Fran attended college at Anderson College in Anderson, Ind., for one year in 1944.
She moved to Olean in 1946.
Fran was employed by the civil service during World War II as a dental technician. She worked as a dental technician for Dr. J.E. Illig, DDS, and Dr. W.W. Dudley, DDS, in Olean for 30 years until she retired in 1986.
Fran was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the St. Bonaventure Golf Club. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Fran is survived by two sons, John T. (Trina) Flaim of Olean and David P. (Yolanda) Flaim of Angleton, Texas. Fran's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, Ronnie, Emily, Jacque, Alison, Julie, Lisa, Henry and Ella. She is lovingly remembered by Linda Flaim, Fran's life-long friend; Virginia Hemmerly of Olean; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her loving husbands, Francis was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday (March 26, 2018) at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (March 27, 2018). The Rev. Susan K. Hadley, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Care & Hospice, 1225 W. State St., Olean, NY 14760, the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790 or Trinity United Methodist Church, 131 N. 9th St., Olean, NY 14760.
