Michael DiPaola Obituary

OLEAN - Michael M. DiPaola, of 111 N. 14th St., passed away Saturday (Feb. 11, 2023) at home, following a lengthy illness.

Born Nov. 22, 1963, in Olean, he was the son of Anthony and Jean Holcomb DiPaola.

Michael was a graduate of the Olean High School, Class of 1981, and received an associate degree in social science from Jamestown Community College.

Michael owned and operated the Brooklyn Bakery in Olean for many years.

Surviving are his loving companion, Caroline Nagle of Olean; father, Anthony DiPaola of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; four children, Miles DiPaola Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., William DiPaola of San Antonio, Texas, Carl DiPaola of San Antonio and Samantha (Dave) Clark of Erie, Pa.; two grandchildren; two brothers, George (Chris) Moses of Olean and Anthony (Judy) DiPaola of Georgia; and two sisters, Pam (Bucky) Deviling of Olean and Karen (Joe) Caya of Hinsdale.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Moses; a brother, Danny DiPaola; and a sister, Kathy Jehlen.

Per Mr. DiPaola's request, there will be no services. Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar.

I remember growing up with Mike at St. Mary's and Olean High, he was always friendly and kind. Sorry to learn of his passing.
