Ronald Kyser Obituary

HOUSTON, Del. - Ronald E. Kyser, 74, of Houston passed away suddenly on Friday (May 30, 2014) at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital of a massive heart attack.
Born April 25, 1940, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of the late Edward and Onnolee Austin Kyser. He was a graduate of Allegany (N.Y.) Central High School and the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Most of Ron's adult life was spent living and working in New Jersey. He retired as an industrial arts educator from the Basking Ridge, N.J., school system. Ron enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, attending and following NASCAR races, especially his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He loved his dog, Colby.
Surviving are two daughters, Kim Austin of Georgia and Jennifer (Greg) Hooper of Arizona; a sister, Marilyn (Don) Fisher of Severna Park, Md; two brothers, Raymond (Janet) Kyser of Allegany and Alan (Mary Lou) Kyser of Olean; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by three children of his beloved companion, Phyllis Blackwell, who predeceased Ron three years ago, and their families, Thomas Blackwell, Karen Woronick and Chris Czerniach; his loving girlfriend, Helen Scheltz; and his first wife, Robin Deschak; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ron was also predeceased by a sister, Virginia, who died in childhood and his second wife, Nancy Fox Kyser.
At Ron's request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held at a later date.
