Thomas Hurd Obituary

BELMONT - Thomas L. Hurd, 32, of 50 Norton St., passed away Thursday (Oct. 17, 2024) at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, following a brief illness.

Born Jan. 25, 1992, in Wellsville, he was the son of Noel L. and Dixie R. Scott Hurd.

He was a graduate of Genesee Valley High School.

Tom had resided all of his life in Allegany County and had worked on a dairy farm in Cuba for several years. He was also a landscaper in the Belmont area. Tom was employed at Duncan Donuts in Wellsville for three years.

He was close to his family and had two dogs named Bruce Wayne and Robin. He loved his music and was always funny and trying to make people laugh.

Surviving are his mother, Dixie R. Scott of Belmont; a brother, Matthew R. Hurd of Cuba; a nephew, Juelien Hurd of Ohio; and niece, Zayda Hurd of Wellsville.

Visitations will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 23, 2024) at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship. Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. The Rev. John Francisco will officiate and burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship.
