Mr. Norris was a wonderful teacher to me. My only regret is not knowing him longer than the two short years he mentored at LC. He was a huge influence on me and the rest of students in the LCHS Fine Arts department. Rest in peace, Mr. Norris; we'll keep you alive in our hearts.

I have such fond memories of Bruce...from teaching me the tonette, the piano, saxaphone, bassoon and even the triangle! He always gave his best and expected non less from us. He taught me to love music. He made us talented even when we really weren't. Bruce and I shared a birthday, August 21 and he sang at my wedding. He was truly a special friend and I am so happy that I was able to see him at our 40th Class Reunion...class of 1967. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Mr. Norris was a really amazing, awesome, hilarious, talented, passionate person! He will be deeply missed. Glad I was able to see him recently. He gave me his usual sarcastic loving hello! Couldn't have been a cooler person! My heart and hugs go out to the family!

So sad to lose my old friend. My friendship with Bruce goes back to 1952 when he was so kind to this freshman music student at Morningside. It's been great to have reconnected with him the past few years. He brought a love of music and teaching to so many people. We'll all miss him mightily!
