Survived by daughters, Jilaya (Kipp) Dailey and Shayla Pierce; granddaughter, India Elisa Garrett; sister, Amanda Frozeen Green; a host of other relatives and friends.
Wake 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at church; Funeral Service 10 a.m., Saturday, Zion Baptist Church, 2215 Grant St.; Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.

I worked with Carolyn. She was my mentor and employer when she was the librarian at the Omaha Public Library years ago Carolyn then became my friend and a person that was truly sincere, honest and generous with her words and deeds She loved her family, community and her church. Carolyn loved life. She was kind ,soft spoken. her words always resonated wisdom ,truth with dignity
I pray for the family and continue to hold onto God`s unchanging hand.Carolyn will never be forgotten and she will be in our hearts forever
