So many memories growing up with Chuck in my life from middle school on, but I'll share one that activated reading this obituary. Back in 2012 while designing my first college course as an instructor, I asked my facebook network whether a Monday or a Friday would be a better day to schedule a midterm. Seemed like a fair amount of conjecture from the responses with support for either day, until Chuck weighed in. "Having taught 45 years, Friday is the best. Mondays have been by far the lowest scoring day of the week in both 34 years of teaching highschool and 11 years of community college." I've not offered an exam on a Monday since.

condolences to the Bowman family. Was friends with Mr. Bowman's son Nick in school as a kid and grew up down the street from them. Always remembered Mr. Bowman being super cool and having a warm spirit about him. Never knew he was a teacher but explains why he seemed so scholarly now that I look back and also explains why Nick was able to help me with homework all the time, apple didn't fall to far from the tree there for sure. Prayers out to you all
