Darrell was placed on hospice care at Prairie Meadows Alzheimer's Care Center. He went to his heavenly home November 4th at 1:45pm.
Preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Iola Lind; brother, Harold Lind. Survived by wife, Carol; son, Darren (Kim) Lind; daughters, Debbie (Ryan) Friesen, Christine (Kenneth) Leonhard, Sharon (Randall) Schmidt; grandchildren: Clayton, Peyton, Cooper, Jaden, Nathan, Josiah, Titus, Renee, Katie, Aimee, Aaron, Sarah, Stacey, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Julia, and Annette; sisters, Lois (Freeman) Miller and Carroll (Dave) Schoger; brother, Howard Lind.
VISITATION at Crosspoint Bible Church (7820 Fort St), Friday November 26th, 3–5pm. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, November 27th, 10am, at the Church. Luncheon to follow. Private interment at Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials suggested to Crosspoint Bible Church or Gideons. To view a broadcast of the service, go to the obituary on the funeral home website.

Greetings Carol and Family. We mourn with you. I remember Darrell asking me what it was like loosing a Father when he was in the midst of that himself. As I told him then and I say to you Darren, for me it was like standing on a mountain peak sure footed in the knowledge that Dad had done his best and it's time to take up the mantle alone. But not alone because the Good Lord walks with you if you have followed him well. And Carol, I am sad indeed for you, that empty hole which cannot be replaced after so many faithful years of companionship and leaning into one another. But it wouldn't be so if there weren't so many sweet memories, a few of which I witnessed. We remember Thanksgivings past that our families shared when you welcomed us into your home and the refrains were easily spoken by each of you ... thankfulness was genuine and rich. You will find strength because of all the accumulated minutes of living you shared with one another and yes, too joy for all that has come. I pray your tomorrows are bolstered by the Faith and Hope Darrell wanted for you and that the Love you shared sustains. With all our love and best wishes. Michael and Cheryl
