David and Duane were the first to befriend me in a new school 50+ years ago, and he also served as best man at our wedding years later. Acts of a kind man not to be forgotten.

Dave was a great guy and a friend you could always rely on. When I graduated from college I wanted to go to law school and he convinced me to be a legal secretary instead which was a good decision. One thing I distinctly remember about Dave is that he truly loved his family. He was a great father to his sons and that is the best thing a man can ever be. I hadn't seen him in almost 15 years and I regret that...but such is the nature of life - we never know. I wish him peace and I'm sure his family and many friends have many fond memories of him.

I was David's legal secretary for 5 years in the early 80's and will always remember his contagious laugh, great jokes and amazing charisma! He had great respect for others and his easygoing nature made it a pleasure to go to work. I have so many fond memories of those days...I only wish I'd been able to say "goodbye". My thoughts are with Sandy and the boys. Rest in peace, David!

Sandy, David Jr, John and Matt. David was always so much bigger than life. I enjoyed our talks on politics and military history. I always had the sense that he was the type of man that would do anything for you if you needed his help. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

During the 15 years I was David's secretary, I always looked forward to going to work. His kindness, compassion and optimism were welcomed by clients and friends alike. Dave had a great and infectious laugh, and along with the work, we shared many a good joke. My heart goes out to Sandy and the boys, as well as to Dave's brother and sister and all others who were part of his life. I'll miss his phone calls and his concern for my well being during some rough times after I had left Nebraska. He pulled me through, and I wish I could have done the same for him. God bless the soul of this fine man.

Dave was my study partner in law school, law partner for a period of time and always one of my dearest friends. I am thankful that I got to spend some time with him in intensive care and we had a nice chat. I shall miss him dearly. Our Deepest sympathies to Sandy and all the family.
