Diane Maxwell Obituary

Maxwell, Diane C.

Age 73

Diane C. Maxwell, of Omaha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Josie Harper House, after recently being diagnosed with cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joe; son, Jamie (Sumer) Maxwell; daughter, Cari Maxwell; and beloved granddaughter, Olivia Williams. Other survivors include her brothers, Bob (Nadine) Buffaloe, Greg (Jen) Buffaloe; sisters-in-law, Betty Lewis, Lona (Kenny) Baxter, Vicki (Ron) Novak; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and cherished friends.

Diane was selfless, generous, empathetic, loving, kind and good natured. She always showed up, helped, and made things better. They say that you remember people for how they made you feel, and Diane made everyone feel special. No words can adequately convey how much she meant to so many and how much she will be missed.

A CELEBRATION of LIFE will be held in the spring, in accordance with her wishes. Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 3809 N. 90th, Omaha, NE 68134, is handling arrangements. Memorials can be directed to the family.

It´s hard to express my feelings and love for my dear cherished friend, Diane. She was the very best friend anyone could have. She always was there at the very moment I or anyone needed a friend, and instinctively knew what to do! She always made it a priority to keep that close bond, even if we didn´t live next door! We could always pick up where we left off. She loved her family with her whole heart and made her friends feel like family. I will always miss her! Our loving sympathy to you Joe, Jamie, Cari and your families.

Dear Aunt Diane you were the world to us, you and Joe did so much for our family. Words can not express how much we will miss you and the thoughtful things you did for our mother, you were such a great friend to her. We pray you are at peace and no longer in pain. Mom and Dad are happy to have you with them in heaven but you are very missed by so many here. We love you!
