I would say that Ed and myself were possibly the oldest childhood friends of any and as Ed and myself use to play in the dirt at 5023 Walnut and my house at 5108 Walnut and we would crawl under the large wooden fence of the Ed Miller yard at Saddle Creek and Walnut as well, and also steal grapes and from around the rear yards. We were all very ,very poor in those early years, but we had fun with nothing and were true childhood friends . So Joe and Terry when born they came were carried in a baskets by Vera and I would say how cute when I would come to the little house at 5023 Walnut St.. I went onto the Omaha Police Dept in 1962 and Ed some years later. My sympathy the the family and wish all the best in these trying times.

Eddy was in our wedding having been a childhood friend of my husband. I'll always remember how loving and gentle he was. I'll also always remember how he liked to do the unordinary; surprise you or make you laugh. I can still see those big blue eyes. So go on now Shags and get the party ready. Vera's got the little smokies on.
