George,
I really regret not being there for you in the past couple of years. I left life get in the way. But I can honestly say that there was not a day that went by that I did not think of you. I incorporated memories of you into every part of my life. I was thinking that I may have to change that now because knowing I can’t call my cousin seemed like it might be too painful. But I think I will keep things the way they are. You have always been my hero, George. Whenever I was with you I felt so very safe and didn’t have a care in the world. The world was your playground and I felt so honored that you allowed me to play. You may be my cousin, and for that I am lucky. But to have the privilege of being your friend was such a wonderful feeling. I know how much you cared about me and I can only hope that I allowed you to know how much I cared about you too. Even in your absence, your love of life and selflessness lives on. I saw it George. I saw it in those closest to you while you were in the hospital. I saw so many people hurting so badly, yet taking the time to put their differences aside and not only do what was right by you, but to do their best to take each and every person’s feelings into account. You would be very proud George.
I will never forget you and will always be there for any of the people you called your family, whether by blood or hand chosen. I had more to say but once again, I am at a loss for words. I love you.
Love,
Gayle

My deepest condolences to all the family. I regret not seeing George in so many years, I have thought of him often. We went to Mason school togther and what fun we had. George was a good man, even then. Keep him in your hearts, always.

October 19, 2011

I remember when another brother left us you asked me to stick close. I told you then I would be here whenever you needed me to talk too. We had many discussions after that day and I will miss them.
Katie, You are in our prayers.

Guess I should edit what I say before I send stuff. Or stop trying to type so late at night. Leonard is probably laughing right now because I spelled Tinker wrong. You know George it was difficult for me to walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. Or was it the blonde in my hair. I know you and Uncle Tom will be plotting my coming, to see what pool to throw me in with all my clothes on. Haha.. Those were the fun times I will never forget. Time was never an issue when we were all together and I wish for nothing more to have that time again.

To all the family and to his friends, we will all meet again in that special place called Heaven. Until then, let the wind soar through your hair and know it is our loved ones whispering how much they love us. Love to all!

Becky and family, all the time I have known you I never connected you with George. George and I crossed each others paths over the years. Its always hard to say good bye to someone you love and the way you ease the pain is to keep him close to your heart and instill his memory in his grandchildren and share stories about him with them and that will keep George's spirit alive forever.

Dad, you were my hero, and you were my kids' hero. I can still hear your laugh, and the way you said "cheeseboogey." I can hear you telling me to be nice to your son-in-law, and the way you always said, "Becky, this is your dad--George, call me back, love you," on my voice mail. I wish I could turn back the clock and have just one more day to tell you how much your being proud of me, effected me, how much I love you, and how I learned to love from you. I wish I could tell you that I was strong enough to carry out your wishes, but that it would scar me forever to do so. I wish I could tell you that we'd all take care of Katie, but you probably already knew that. I miss you. I miss you so much it hurts. I wasn't ready to say good bye to you, but I'm glad you aren't in pain anymore.
Tell Tom I said hi and that I can still smell his feet. Tell him that I haven't been on the back of a motor cycle since he passed but that Ben will be riding me to your service on your bike. Tell Grandma Thelma that I can't wait to meet her someday, and Grandpa George that I miss him too.
Hope you're watching over me and my girls dad and please fill their heart with love and peace when I tell them you passed.
I miss you...
