Omaha, NE. Harvey was born in Fort Worth Texas, to parents Jeanette and Arnold Aronson. Preceded in death by his first wife, Lenore Aronson, and his son, Robert Aronson, Harvey is survived by his wife Phyllis Aronson; children, Patti Kramish and Nancy Somberg; stepchildren, Sue Rudy, and Nancy and Stefan Richter; 15 grandchildren; and his great-granddaughter, Ella Nettleton. Harvey served with the Allied forces in Europe under the 44th division with the Seventh Army. In March of 1944 on a battlefield in Germany he was commissioned with the ranking of Second Lieutenant. During his tour of duty he was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Infantryman's Badge and was qualified as a M1 Rifle Sharpshooter. In 1988, Harvey retired after 41 years with Peter Kiewit Sons' Company. His career with Kiewit saw him rise from an estimating engineer to Peter Kiewit Sons' Company Building Group President. It was through his direct involvement, dedication, and talents that helped reshape the skyline of both Omaha and Lincoln with the additions of The Capital Building and Memorial Stadium in Lincoln and Mutual of Omaha, The Henry Doorly Zoo, and Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha to name just a few. However, Harvey took the most pride in his wife Phyllis, his children, great-grandchildren and great-grand daughter.
