James Burton Shenefield, age 86, of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away on June 19, 2025.
James was born on June 7, 1939, in Omaha. He was the son of Burton Douglas Shenefield and Darlene Annabelle Bingham. A veteran of the 11th Airborne Paratrooper, an outdoorsman by heart. Jim had a passion for hunting and fishing with his sons.
He is survived by siblings, Debbie, Dottie, and Nancy; sons, Troy and Kelly; grandchildren, April and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Giselle, Blayne, and Parker; along with many nieces, nephews, additional family, and friends.
A CELEBRATION OF JIM'S LIFE, along with MILITARY HONORS, will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 2 p.m., at Cutler O'Neill Funeral Home.
