Jan was a great teacher and role model. She exhibited compassion and empathy in her interactions with everyone. I often find myself thinking of/using things she taught me even now, decades after I left her classroom. The world will be a little less bright without her.

Dear Joe, it was with great saddness to hear of Jan's death. Sharon K. called to let us know. We have very fond memories of both you and Jan from 40 years ago when we lived in Gretna. I remember the get togethers after games. Also remember coming to your home to give piano lessons while you and Ted bowled on Tuesday nights.Jan touched many lives and will missed by all. May the love and the beautiful memories that you shared burn warm within your heart. With the dawning of each new day may you be reminded of the dawning of the first Easter morn and because Christ lives, Jan lives, and we too shall live. May the Lord surround you with His compassion and comfort. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Ted/Marilyn Bader, St. Paul, NE
